Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about AdBlue® and supply from Liquidia.

Do I need AdBlue®?

If your diesel vehicle or machine has an SCR system (most made from around 2015, Euro 5/6), yes — it won't run correctly without it and may enter limp mode or fail to start.

How much AdBlue® does a vehicle use?

Roughly 3–5% of diesel consumption. As a guide, about 1.5 litres per 100 km for a heavy truck — but it varies by engine and load.

What is the shelf life?

Typically 12–18 months when stored sealed between −11°C and 30°C, out of direct sunlight.

Can AdBlue® freeze?

Yes, at about −11°C, but it thaws with no loss of quality. Vehicle systems are designed to handle this.

What happens if it's contaminated?

Off-spec or contaminated AdBlue® can damage the SCR system and injectors. Always use ISO 22241 / VDA-certified product and clean, dedicated equipment.

Is Liquidia's AdBlue® certified?

Yes — Liquidia is VDA QMC licensed (licence No. 0004804), complies with ISO 22241, and lab-tests every batch. A Certificate of Analysis is available on request.

What sizes do you supply?

From 10 L drums and 20 L drums to 210 L drums, 1,000 L IBCs, and bulk tanker deliveries — plus on-site storage tanks.

Do you deliver Australia-wide?

Yes. We dispatch from centres in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth and deliver nationwide.

Can you set up on-site bulk supply?

Yes — we supply and install on-site tanks with dispensing, offer remote tank-level monitoring, tank lease and scheduled refills. See our Bulk & On-site page.
