| Operation | Pack that usually suits |
|---|---|
| Dairy farm with newer tractors and a feed truck | 20 L drums, or a 210 L drum with a hand pump |

| Port logistics yard or mine-site contractor | IBCs, or an on-site tank with scheduled refills |
A truck running a Bunbury–Kwinana return trip each weekday covers roughly 1,500 km a week. At 50 L/100 km that's about 750 L of diesel. At a typical AdBlue® dose of 3–6% of diesel, it uses about 22–45 L of AdBlue® a week. A fleet of six such trucks uses an IBC roughly every four to eight weeks. At that point an IBC with a pump costs less per litre and is less handling than 20 L drums. Try your own figures in the usage calculator.
The South West has warm, dry summers with hot spells, and wet winters. Each season brings a different storage risk.
Check that seals and caps are intact, the batch number is on the label, and the containers aren't cracked, leaking or dirty. If you need a Certificate of Analysis for the batch, just ask.
