AdBlue® storage by climate zone

The AdBlue® is the same wherever it goes, but how long it keeps depends on where you store it. Heat is the main enemy. ISO 22241-3 guidance gives about 18 months at or below 25 °C, 12 months at or below 30 °C and 6 months at or below 35 °C. Anything stored hotter should be tested before use.

RegionMain storage riskWhat to do

Getting a delivered AdBlue® price for any town

If your town isn't listed above, we can still quote it. Delivery is always priced to your suburb and quantity from the site best placed to supply you. The more we know up front, the more accurate the quote.

FOR AN ACCURATE QUOTEFive things to tell usHave these ready when you call, text or email.
  1. Delivery address or suburb.A farm or mine may need directions or a gate code.
  2. Pack size and quantity. If you're unsure, give us your weekly diesel use. AdBlue® is typically about 3–6% of it for trucks.
  3. Unloading at your end.Do you have a forklift for pallets and IBCs? For bulk, what size is your tank, and can a tanker reach it?
  4. Timing.Harvest, a project start or wet-season access can all affect when you need it.
  5. One-off or regular.Regular runs can be arranged, and planned deliveries are easier to price well.

Keeping regional AdBlue® costs down

Step up a pack size

On our east-coast Ex Works prices, 20 L drums on a pallet cost about $1.58 a litre, a 210 L drum $0.88 a litre, and a timber-base IBC $0.89 a litre. Fewer, larger packs also usually mean less freight per litre.

Combine and plan

Put AdBlue®, demineralised water, pumps and spill kits on the same order. Book ahead so stock arrives before you run low, rather than paying for a rushed small order.

Move to bulk

If you use several IBCs a month, an on-site tank with bulk refills from 1,000 L to 32,000 L can cut handling and cost. Tank-level monitoring lets refills be scheduled. See bulk and on-site.

Once it arrives, check that seals and caps are intact, the batch number is on the label, and containers are clean and undamaged. A Certificate of Analysis for the batch is available on request.

Questions buyers ask

My town isn't listed. Can you still deliver?

Yes. We supply Australia-wide. Tell us your suburb or town and the quantity, and we'll quote delivery from the site best placed to supply you.

Do I need a forklift to receive AdBlue®?

For pallets of drums and 1,000 L IBCs, a forklift or other suitable unloading equipment is usually needed. Tell us what you have on site when you ask for a quote. Bulk deliveries go straight into your tank, so the tanker needs access to it.

Can you set up a regular delivery to a regional site?

Yes. Regular runs can be arranged. Give us your usage and preferred timing and we'll quote a schedule that keeps you stocked without over-ordering.

Does AdBlue® freeze in cold regional areas?

AdBlue® freezes at about −11 °C, which is uncommon in most of Australia. If it does freeze, it thaws without harm and can be used once it is fully liquid.
