Tamworth sits between our two AdBlue® plants. It's about 410 km from Fairfield East in Sydney, and about 570 km from Rocklea in Brisbane, via the New England Highway. That gives the region two supply options.
Usually supplied from our Sydney site. Deliveries west along the Oxley Highway toward Gunnedah and beyond are quoted to your site.
Toward Glen Innes and Tenterfield, Brisbane can be the closer site. We quote from whichever site makes more sense for your delivery.
You don't need to work out which plant to use. Tell us your suburb or property and quantity, and we'll quote delivered on our own trucks and tanker trailers. If your trucks already run to Sydney or Brisbane, you can also collect Ex Works from either site.
AdBlue® use around Tamworth is steadier than in many farming areas, as the poultry industry never stops. Feed trucks, bird transport and processing freight run seven days a week. Livestock carriers work out of the regional saleyards. On the Liverpool Plains, growers harvest winter crops in late spring and summer crops such as sorghum later in the season, which spreads farm demand across more of the year.
A rigid feed truck servicing poultry sheds does about 1,800 km a week at around 35 L/100 km. That's roughly 630 L of diesel, or about 19–38 L of AdBlue® a week. One truck on its own uses one or two 20 L drums a week. A feed mill running six trucks uses about 115–230 L a week, and an IBC with a pump lasts roughly one to two months.
| Operation | Usual pack |
|---|---|
| Grower with one or two newer tractors | 20 L drums or a 210 L drum |
| Contract harvester or spray operator | IBC on a trailer with 12 V pump |
| Feed mill, carrier or processor fleet | IBCs or a bulk tank |
Poultry sites have strict biosecurity rules. Tell us your site entry requirements when you order, so our driver knows where to go and where not to.
Few regions we supply have a wider climate range. Tamworth and the plains get hot summers, often in the mid-30s, while the tablelands around Armidale and Guyra get some of the hardest frosts in NSW. Both affect how you store AdBlue®.

Either. Tamworth and the Liverpool Plains are usually supplied from our Sydney site at Fairfield East, while the northern tablelands may be closer to our Brisbane site at Rocklea. We quote from whichever site suits your delivery.
It can come close. AdBlue freezes at about minus 11 degrees C, and exposed hoses and nozzles are the first to be affected on the coldest nights. Frozen AdBlue thaws without harm. Store stock in a shed and let it thaw naturally.
