Enter your tank size, what's in it now and how much you use. We'll work out the date, and you can add it to your calendar or have us text you.
The sum is simple: take the litres above your reorder level, divide by what you use each week, and count forward from today.
Weeks until reorder = (litres in stock now − reorder level) ÷ litres used per week
The hard part is choosing the reorder level. It should cover what you'll use between placing the order and the AdBlue® arriving, plus a buffer for a busy week or a delayed truck. A practical way to set it is weekly use × the number of weeks of cover you want. Ask us when you call how delivery to your site is usually arranged, and set your cover to suit.
A 1,000 L IBC has 600 L left. The workshop uses 150 L a week and wants two weeks of cover, so the reorder level is 150 × 2 = 300 L.
(600 − 300) ÷ 150 = 2 weeks. The order goes in two weeks from today, with 300 L still in the IBC.
A 5,000 L tank has 3,200 L in it. The fleet uses 400 L a week and the manager wants three weeks of cover: 400 × 3 = 1,200 L.
(3,200 − 1,200) ÷ 400 = 5 weeks. When the order is placed there is room for about 3,800 L, so a tanker drop in the 3,000 to 3,500 L range fits without overfilling.
Most tanks and IBCs leave some AdBlue® below the pump pickup or outlet. Take that off your "litres in it now" figure.
Use a typical busy week. Harvest, a big contract or extra shifts can double usage for a while.
Public holidays and end-of-year shutdowns shorten the time available to deliver. Order earlier before them.
Dipping or eyeballing an IBC is rough. A tank gauge or level monitoring gives a figure you can trust.
Running dry is one risk. Holding stock so long that it degrades is the other. AdBlue® slowly breaks down with heat, releasing ammonia and dropping in concentration. Shelf life guidance under ISO 22241-3 is:
| Storage temperature | Approximate shelf life |
|---|---|
| At or below 25 °C | About 18 months |
| At or below 30 °C | About 12 months |
| At or below 35 °C | About 6 months |
| Above 35 °C | Test before use |
A quick check: tank size ÷ weekly use = weeks to empty a full tank. A 5,000 L tank used at 50 L a week takes about 100 weeks to empty, well past 18 months even in cool storage. That site is better off with IBCs, or a smaller tank filled more often. A 1,000 L IBC used at 150 L a week empties in under 7 weeks, which is no problem at any storage temperature.
Keep stock in the shade and away from heat sources. It freezes at about −11 °C and thaws without harm. More in our shelf life guide.
For bulk tanks we supply tank gauges, high-level alarms, tank-level monitoring and scheduled refills. The refill is planned from the actual level, not a guess. See bulk and on-site supply.
Yes, if you send the form. We'll text you before your reorder date.
Yes. For bulk tanks we offer remote tank-level monitoring and scheduled refills. See Bulk & Tanks.
Multiply your weekly use by the number of weeks of cover you want between ordering and delivery, plus a buffer. For example, at 150 L a week with two weeks of cover, reorder at 300 L.
Yes. If a full tank takes longer to use than the product's shelf life, some of it may degrade before you use it. That is about 18 months at or below 25 °C and less in hotter storage. Divide the tank size by your weekly use to check.
No. Some product usually sits below the pump pickup or outlet. Subtract it from the litres in stock so your reorder date isn't too late.
