Tasmanian orders are supplied from our Melbourne (Brooklyn) stock and shipped across Bass Strait. Every order has a sea leg, so the operators who do best here plan ahead and order less often in larger lots.
Delivery to Hobart, Launceston, the North West coast and regional Tasmania is quoted to your town and quantity.
Heat is what ages AdBlue®, and Tasmania's cool climate helps. ISO 22241-3 guidance gives about 18 months of shelf life when stored at or below 25 °C, which most Tasmanian sheds manage for much of the year. That makes it practical to hold more stock and order less often, which suits the Bass Strait supply chain.
AdBlue® freezes at about −11 °C. Highland sites get hard frosts, but temperatures that low are rare. If a container does freeze, it thaws without harm and is fine to use once fully liquid. See AdBlue® in cold climates.
Ports, fish farms and coastal depots are hard on fittings. AdBlue® attacks copper, brass, zinc, aluminium and mild steel, so use polyethylene, polypropylene or stainless steel pumps, hoses and nozzles. We supply pumps, hoses and nozzles in compatible materials.
| Operation | Pack that usually suits |
|---|---|
| Dairy farm with a few newer tractors and a ute | 20 L drums or a 210 L drum with a hand pump |
| Forestry contractor, harvesters and log trucks | 1,000 L IBC with a 12 V or 240 V pump |
| Transport depot with a line-haul fleet | IBCs, or an on-site tank with scheduled bulk refills |
A worked example: a log truck covering 1,500 km a week at about 55 L/100 km uses roughly 825 L of diesel. At a typical AdBlue® dose of 3–6% of diesel, that's about 25–50 L of AdBlue® a week. Four trucks like that use an IBC in roughly five to ten weeks, well within its shelf life in Tasmanian conditions. Off-road machinery can dose higher, so check with the usage calculator.
On our Ex Works prices a 1,000 L IBC works out at $0.89 a litre on a timber base, against about $1.58 a litre for 20 L drums on a pallet. Delivery to Tasmania is quoted on top.

Because every order is shipped across Bass Strait, reorder while you still have a few weeks of stock on hand. Tasmania's cool climate means AdBlue® keeps well, so holding a larger buffer is practical.
AdBlue® freezes at about −11 °C, which is rare even on highland sites. If it does freeze, it thaws without harm and can be used once it is fully liquid again.
