Sydney runs on diesel. Every day, thousands of trucks, buses, waste vehicles and construction machines move through the city, and most modern units need AdBlue® to run properly. For operators with sizeable fleets, buying AdBlue in bulk rather than in small drums is usually the more practical and cost-effective choice. Liquidia's Sydney site is at Fairfield East in western Sydney, which puts local supply close to many of the city's busiest freight and industrial areas.
Made in Australia
Our AdBlue is made under VDA AdBlue licence No. 0005569. Every batch is lab-tested to ISO 22241, and a Certificate of Analysis is available on request. Because we produce here rather than relying only on shipped-in stock, we have more control over quality and availability.
That local production matters. During the late-2021 urea shortage, many Australian operators learnt how exposed they were to imported supply. Having a manufacturer nearby, with stock on hand, is a sensible part of any supply plan.
Who uses bulk AdBlue in Sydney
Western Sydney has a heavy concentration of logistics, warehousing and industrial sites, and that is where much of our bulk demand comes from. Typical Sydney customers include:
- Freight and logistics depots around the M4, M5 and M7 corridors, handling linehaul to Melbourne and Brisbane as well as local distribution.
- Container transport operators moving boxes between Port Botany and inland terminals and warehouses.
- Construction and civil contractors running excavators, loaders and tipper fleets on infrastructure and housing projects across the growing south-west and north-west.
- Waste and council fleets with garbage compactors and street sweepers operating every day.
- Bus and coach operators with depot-based refilling.
- Service stations and truck stops offering AdBlue at the pump.
Each of these has a different pattern of use. A linehaul depot might go through several thousand litres a week, while a civil contractor's use rises and falls with project stages. Bulk supply is scaled to suit.
Delivery or collection
Sydney customers have two ways to get AdBlue from us.
Bulk tanker delivery
We deliver by tanker directly into your on-site tank, from 1,000 L up to 32,000 L. Bulk pricing is quoted on volume and location, so a depot in Wetherill Park and a quarry on the city fringe will get different quotes. For larger users, we can supply and install tanks, fit remote level monitoring and set up scheduled refills so the tank never runs low.
Packaged product and collection
For smaller users, we supply 10 L, 15 L and 20 L drums, 210 L drums and 1,000 L IBCs. Our published Ex Works prices apply to product collected from the plant, and delivery is quoted to your suburb. Collection from Fairfield East is available Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 16:00.
A full IBC weighs about 1,150 kg, so if you are collecting one, bring a vehicle rated for the load and make sure you have a forklift at the other end to unload it.
Planning bulk supply in Sydney
Sydney traffic is a real factor in delivery planning. Tanker access to your site, loading dock hours and any local restrictions all affect scheduling. A few things make it smoother:
- Make sure the tanker can reach the tank fill point without reversing across busy yards.
- Give us the site contact and access hours, including any gate codes or induction requirements.
- Keep your tank's level visible — a gauge or remote monitoring removes the guesswork.
- Store tanks and IBCs out of direct sun. Western Sydney summers regularly pass 35°C, and heat shortens AdBlue's shelf life.
Something you can do today: check where your AdBlue tank or IBCs sit during a summer afternoon. If they are in full sun on a west-facing wall, move them into shade or fit an insulated cover. At sustained temperatures around 30°C, shelf life drops to about 12 months, and it falls further as it gets hotter.
